"The long wave that runs slow"

begin with the title: "Long Wave" to sense the direction of the novel. A title that the author Luisa quartese Meloni has carefully chosen to emphasize, from the cover of his first book, published by Edizioni Creativa (226 pages, 12 €), a serene inner conviction.

"Nothing happens by chance" claims, to live is in search of that meaning that eludes us, and even for the plenty of words that give meaning, life is long and time allows. The time to modify, amend, revise the knot of the tangle of events, day after day, they build a life. A counterpoint to the melody of ' hastily that marks our times. Not necessarily have to run anyway, on the contrary is unnatural: Time is available in abundance and for that which is essential in the life of every man. The proximity of the other, confrontation, staying together for a laugh and to cry, to pool the will and strength, good and solid and leave traces of our passage into the world.

"long wave" is a story - the story of Anna, who is young, brilliant and art expert (as the author who teaches in the History of Art College in Quartu) and lives in Paris - and therefore a comings and goings of episodes and facts that serve to draw a road and find a goal.

An intimate story, which is a personal inner search for oneself and the reasons that give an account of what has been done. A story that can belong to many of us, for it runs along a common path that continually brings belief to the test and reached strong positions because life is better then grow by the day. Reflecting on these considerations emerge from the Watermark fabric of the novel, is also an occasion to ponder that goes far beyond the pleasure of reading. It is also a desire, ill-concealed author, to offer grounds for reflection.

In the book, as in every person's life, choices, emotions, pain, meetings (with Anna's Ian, a charming Parisian head Rom), the ups and downs, the experiences (Anna will arrive in Darfur, in Africa, continuation of "Doctors without borders"), are the litmus test of the profile of a life that is glimpsed only in the evening. At that point, with the knowledge and serenity, which gives the you understand, you can appreciate the beauty of the long day.
