"steal your breath" is a book that oozes pain, but gentle and serene. Faces a problem terrible news: violence against children.
Ilaria Giulia's father, a man in the deep south, characterized by ambivalent feelings, moralistic, often bigoted, but also deeply respectful of the projects of their children. He has an idea of \u200b\u200bthe progressive woman: Julia taught the little claim to be respected as a woman, has never spoken of marriage as a female achievement, but has always advocated an independent future and success of men as the only professional event. And 'perhaps for this reason that Julia has never told the truth. For fear of the reaction of his father, for fear it could kill that man and then spend the rest of life in prison. Giulia's mother prefers silence scandal. He never wanted to tackle the problems of children as primary if not the study, food, clothing, good education. Any externalizing problem was, he spoke little with their children and vice versa. Unlike his father, she was able to forgive even his murderess. A book suffering but gentle, peaceful, which brings in the psychological traumas of adolescence, a tale that stresses the importance of 'not forgetting' a trauma but of wanting to digest, understand, and make it part of their life.
